Emad A. Rahim, D.M., PMP

Dr. Emad Rahim is currently the Principal Consultant/ Executive Advisor of Global i365, where he specializes in change management, appreciative inquiry, diversity training and project management. He is also an Assistant Professor at Morrisville State College and the Cohort Chair/ Lead Faculty at Colorado Technical University. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Minority Contractors for Upstate NY and was the previous President of the Human Service Association of CNY, PMI Chapter of Syracuse and Co-founder of Innovative Development in Syracuse NY. He has managed a diverse portfolio of business related projects for cross-functional organizations throughout Upstate NY as a Trainer, Project Manager, Program Coordinator and Program Manager.
Dr. Rahim earned a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Development from the Institute for Advance Studies and two graduate degrees in Project Management and Business Management from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs. He was named the 2011 Beyster Scholar Fellow from the Beyster Institute at UC San Diego and was the recipient of the 2010 Entrepreneurship Teaching Excellence Award from the Experiential Classroom at Oklahoma State University. He is an alumnus of the Leadership of Greater Syracuse program (LGS), Cornell University’s Executive Leadership Series and the Gamaliel Foundation’s Community Advance Leadership program (President Barack Obama, alum). He holds several internationally recognized professional certifications in project management (PMP, CPM), business management (CM, CABM), entrepreneurship (FastTrac ® Kauffman Foundation, Experiential Classroom) and is a Green Belt Six Sigma.
Dr. Rahim’s diverse cultural background was made into a theater play, written and directed by USA Playwrights Award Recipient and nationally acclaimed Director, Ping Chong. The Syracuse Stage Theatre production titled “Tales From The Salt City” shared the migration stories of seven local residents from Syracuse NY. The stories covered topics of diversity, discrimination, stereotypes, prejudice and overcoming adversities. The stories were published in Stone Canoe, an award winning arts journal published through Syracuse University. During and after the production of the show, Dr. Rahim accepted speaking engagements at high Schools, universities, community organizations, conferences, workshops, college residencies, business functions and public forums to discuss diversity, immigration and cultural awareness.
Dr. Rahim has taught for the Jack Welch Institute at Chancellor University, Walden University, Kaplan University, Argosy University, Northcentral University, Keuka College, TUI University, DeVry University, Empire State College and Bryant & Stratton College. He has multiple research publications in peer-review journals on topics related to business stigmas, nonprofit management, diversity management, project management, change management, conflict resolution, leadership ethics, organizational development and organizational behaviors. His research received special scholastic recognition from Fort Hays State University’s Business and Leadership Symposium and Intellectbase International Consortium. He has also been invited to present his research at academic and professional conferences, national and international.
